Interview with Mrs. Kaiti Ventouri (née Zervoudi)

Evangelos N. Kotatis

With the esteemed Mrs. Kaiti Ventouri, née Zervoudi, at the “Zorzis Michalinos” Nursing Home in Chios, whom I visited upon her invitation.

During our meeting, we spoke about her childhood in Chios and in Kampos, where she lived with her cousin Popi Zervoudi in the well-known Zervoudi family mansion during the war, seeking refuge from the fear of bombings.

At the end of our discussion, I offered her my book, The Treasures of Kampos, which she received with great joy.

In the black-and-white photograph, Kaiti Ventouri is pictured with her grandfather Themistoklis Zervoudis, brother of Kimon Zervoudis and owner of the mansion.
