An interview with Mrs. Eleftheria Manolaki, owner of the estate known as “Tris Margarites” (Three Daisies)—a name inspired by the coat of arms of the prominent Karalis family, to whom the estate belonged in the past.
We discussed the history of the estate and her family, who have been tirelessly caring for and maintaining the property since the beginning of the last century.
With great joy, Mrs. Eleftheria acquired my book, “The Treasures of Kampos”, with the intention of gifting it to her granddaughter, Evangelia Tsakoumakou. This gesture demonstrates a profound appreciation for the history of Kampos and the significance of the region. Through this book, “Grandmother Eleftheria” is not merely relaying history; she is instilling in her granddaughter a sense of connection to the past that shaped our cultural heritage. It is perhaps her way of showing that our history and our roots always have something valuable to teach us.
