I had the honor of visiting Genoa, in the context of my research and the writing of my book The Treasures of Kampos (2017).
During my stay, I had the great pleasure of being hosted by Girolamo Luca Muniglia Giustiniani at his historic palace, where we had a very engaging discussion on history, architecture, and the deep connections between Genoa and Chios. He also kindly guided me through the city, showing me important churches and palaces, and introducing me to friends and members of the local community. One of the most memorable moments was the evening gathering at his residence—an authentic experience of Genoese hospitality.
This journey was made together with the supporter and the sponsor of the book, Peter Gambranis. We visited museums and the Faculty of Architecture, where we had the pleasure of donating a copy of The Treasures of Kampos (2017) to the university library, as well as additional copies to libraries across the city.
At the same time, I am currently preparing a new boxed edition under the title The Treasures of Kampos, continuing the research and the promotion of this unique cultural heritage.
Genoa remains a place of profound historical significance, especially in relation to Chios, and this visit further strengthened these cultural and historical ties.
My sincere thanks for the warm hospitality and the opportunity to share this work internationally.
